Job Description:

Senior Antenna Engineer

Our client designs, manufactures, and supplies advanced maritime navigation, coastal surveillance, and defense radar systems. They are looking for an experienced Senior Antenna Engineer to join an advanced engineering team working across antenna, RF and radar technologies.

You will be responsible for antenna design, modelling, development and testing, taking ownership of technical work packages from initial requirements through to production and manufacture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop printed, waveguide and array antennas.
• Lead antenna modelling, testing and R&D activities.
• Support RF and radar system development.
• Define requirements and verification/validation activities.
• Resolve manufacturing and production-test issues.
• Manage technical work packages and documentation.
• Work closely with Systems, Hardware, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers and customers.

What we're looking for

• Strong microwave antenna design and development experience.
• Knowledge of printed, waveguide and array antennas.
• Experience with antenna/RF modelling software.
• Familiarity with Spectrum Analysers and Vector Network Analysers.
• Understanding of RF components including filters, splitters, combiners and rotary joints.
• Experience with design for manufacture and test.
• Knowledge of antenna test environments such as anechoic chambers, compact ranges or near-field scanning.

Experience with radar systems, Altair, MATLAB, Python, EMC or systems engineering would be advantageous.
