Job Description:

Fortis Recruitment Solutions are working exclusively with a precision engineering company based in the Biggin Hill area to recruit an experienced assembly technician to join their team.  The assembly technician will be experienced in mechanical assembly and fitting, any experience in brazing would be an advantage. 

The senior assembly technician will be working mostly on one of products that can take between 6 weeks and 6 months depending on the spec.  You will own the whole process and take ownership taking it through to completion. You will need great attention to detail to complement an understanding of mechanical engineering.

This position is 37.5 hrs / week over 4 days (Mon – Thurs) and you will need to be able to gain a Baseline security vetting.  The assembly technician comes with 25 days holiday, an improved pension offering amongst other benefits.

The Role

• Experience in precision mechanical assembly and fitting
• Maintain documentation
• Experience brazing (advantageous)
• Ability to read engineering drawings
