Job Overview

A Senior Associate Fire Engineer opportunity within a technically focused fire consultancy, working across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, transport and infrastructure projects. Based across multiple UK locations, the role suits an experienced consultancy professional ready to lead technical delivery, quality assurance and design reviews while supporting engineers, client relationships and specialised technical initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across multiple fire engineering projects

• Oversee quality assurance and chair technical design reviews

• Mentor engineers and graduates across technical development

• Standardise project processes, tools and technical outputs

• Lead specialised technical research and improvement initiatives

Manage several projects simultaneously while balancing technical delivery and commercial requirements. Build and maintain client relationships while representing the team's technical expertise during project discussions.

Skills & Experience Required

• MSc or equivalent qualification in Fire Engineering

• Significant fire engineering or building services consultancy experience

• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations

• Understanding of RIBA project stages

• Chartered Engineer status or actively progressing towards CEng

You will need experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development. Strong technical writing, communication and structured problem-solving skills are also required.
