Senior Category Manager (Hybrid) – Scunthorpe – Competitive Salary + Benefits

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a well-established business in Scunthorpe that is looking to expand its team and recruit a Senior Category Manager. This role will suit someone with high-level category management experience who can manage a large spend and lead a small team.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (full time) with a 1:30pm finish every Friday

Senior Category Manager Key Responsibilities

• Optimise purchasing power across the supply chain, negotiating favourable terms with suppliers to secure sustained cost efficiencies
• Maintain a flexible, resilient supply base capable of responding to changing business demands without compromising on quality or service
• Provide clear market insights and lead the team in delivering strategic category management aligned to wider business objectives
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business to drive process efficiency and embed procurement solutions that support the lowest sustainable cost base
• Demonstrate confidence, proactivity, and strong influencing skills, balancing commercial priorities with operational needs to deliver value across the organisation

The Person

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Proven experience leading a team
• Strong communicator with confidence in negotiations and stakeholder management
• Analytical, detail-focused and proactive in approach
