Senior Engineer – Development Projects & Technical Delivery

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer (Civil or Structural background) to join a growing engineering team in Birmingham.

This role is ideal for an engineer with 2+ years’ experience looking to step up into a Senior Engineer position, working across a wide range of development-led projects in the residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors. You’ll be involved in both design and delivery, supporting senior team members while developing your technical and project leadership skills.

You’ll gain exposure to varied and challenging projects, with clear progression opportunities within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

• Support and lead the design of civil or structural engineering elements on development projects
• Work on residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes from concept through to construction
• Produce technical drawings, reports and design calculations
• Assist with project coordination and liaising with clients, contractors and design teams
• Contribute to highways, drainage and infrastructure design where applicable
• Ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with project requirements
• Support senior team members in project delivery and client engagement

About You

• 2+ years’ experience in civil or structural engineering
• Experience within a consultancy or development environment
• Strong technical understanding of engineering design principles
• Working knowledge of relevant software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar desirable)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to develop into a Senior Engineer role
