Senior Composite Laminator

Location: Nuneaton
Hours: Double day shifts, 37 hours per week
Salary: £36,000 to £41,625 per annum
Job Type: Permanent

Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Senior Composite Laminator to join a busy Composites Department. Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will support the efficient running of the department, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards and within required timescales.

Responsibilities

• Template and produce new products.
• Laminate parts and tooling across a broad range of products.
• Check drawings and route card instructions are clear and correct.
• Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency.
• Operate autoclaves and ovens.
• Assist with the training and development of laminators.
• Maintain all equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order.
• Ensure the department and work areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Support the Team Leader with the efficient running of the department.
• Ensure jobs are completed to the required quality standards and timescales.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a Composite Laminator, ideally at a senior level.
• Experience with pre-preg autoclave processes.
• Experience working with carbon and glass composite materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow procedures, work instructions and manuals.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Able to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
• Motorsport or automotive composite experience would be highly desirable.
• Able to support and develop less experienced laminators.
• Reliable, organised and committed to producing high-quality work.
