Job Description:

Senior Project Manager - Construction (SC Cleared)
Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)
Rate: Up to £700 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile construction project. This role requires strong leadership, commercial oversight, and stakeholder management, with a focus on ensuring successful project execution within time, cost, and quality constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end construction project delivery.
• Hold contractors accountable for programme, cost, and performance.
• Proactively manage risk identification and mitigation, including delays, cost overruns, and permitting challenges.
• Act as the primary liaison between the client/developer and the design team (Architects & Engineers).
• Coordinate across professional services, contractors, internal teams, and key stakeholders.
• Deliver regular progress reporting to senior leadership and governance forums.

Essential Requirements

• Proven expertise in construction methodologies and technical delivery.
• Strong financial management and cost control experience.
• Solid understanding of contract frameworks such as JCT and NEC.
• Advanced knowledge of project scheduling tools (Primavera, MS Project).
• Expert understanding of Health & Safety legislation within construction environments.
• Active SC Clearance (essential)
• Significant experience operating at Senior PM / Project Director level within the built environment (surveying, planning, risk mitigation).
• Demonstrable strength in stakeholder engagement and management.
• Specialist knowledge of construction Health & Safety regulations.
