We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer to join our Controls Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing PLC software, producing Functional Design Specifications (FDS), creating commissioning schedules, and carrying out the commissioning of control systems on customer sites for Logistex automated warehouse systems.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Controls Engineer:

• To design, plan and develop PLC control solutions
• Assist in the development of OT layer cyber security solutions.
• Produce technical documentation, complete specification, costings and time plan for each assigned project
• Write the FDS for projects as required and co-ordinate with colleagues within Engineering and within Systems to ensure alignment of functionality and interfaces.
• Develop PLC software and HMI code for projects and to commission the software on site
• Provide support to other departments, participate in design planning
   

Qualifications & Experience needed for the Senior Controls Engineer:

• Expert in Siemens TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, Siemens TIA Safety
• Experience of VFD control, Safety hardware and Barcode readers, Allan Bradley PLC programming
• Knowledge of IEC 61131
• Degree, HND or HNC in Engineering and competent in Windows based systems
