Salary: £68,000 - £75,000 + Package

The Opportunity

A leading specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Engineer to join its delivery team on a flagship hyperscale data centre development in Acton, West London.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role on one of London's largest mission-critical construction projects, supporting the delivery of two hyperscale data centres, an office building, substation and associated infrastructure. Working as part of a highly experienced project team, you'll provide technical leadership across allocated work packages, ensuring engineering activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved designs, quality standards and programme requirements.

You'll work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Design Teams and specialist subcontractors, taking ownership of engineering delivery while helping drive quality, productivity and technical excellence throughout construction.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the engineering delivery of allocated construction packages
• Providing day-to-day technical support to site management and construction teams
• Coordinating engineering activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme
• Managing technical queries, RFIs and engineering communications between design and delivery teams
• Supporting workface planning and construction sequencing activities
• Ensuring engineering deliverables, approvals and technical information are available ahead of construction
• Identifying engineering constraints and implementing practical mitigation measures
• Coordinating temporary works interfaces and supporting Temporary Works procedures
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
• Implementing inspection and test plans while maintaining quality assurance standards
• Supporting the management of NCRs, defects and corrective actions
• Monitoring engineering progress and escalating technical risks where appropriate
• Maintaining accurate engineering records, quality documentation and project information
• Working collaboratively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle

About You

• Previous experience as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer delivering major construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience working on technically complex projects within data centres, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, mission-critical facilities or similar environments would be highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering sequencing and technical coordination
• Experience supporting Temporary Works coordination and engineering interfaces
