SENIOR ESTIMATOR – WATER

• Tier 1 contractor and employer of choice
• Starting salary of c.£90k plus benefits
• Hybrid work arrangement – 3 days in office / 2 from home

My client, a Tier 1 multi-disciplinary contractor, delivers exceptional engineering solutions across a range of critical infrastructure spanning energy, water, and environmental sectors amongst others.

We are now looking to hire an experienced Senior Estimator to take a leading role in delivering some of the UK's most important water infrastructure projects.

The Role

Day to day as the Senior Estimator you will lead the production of accurate, competitive and commercially robust estimates for high-value civil engineering and water infrastructure projects.

Project values will typically be estimated upwards of £50M and this role will likely involve both early-stage budgets as well as final cost estimates

This key role will sit within a specialist team and cover projects across the East of England/Anglian region. The designated office will be based within the region, likely Cambridgeshire.

We will need to see

• Proven estimating experience within a Tier 1 contractor or major infrastructure environment.
• Strong civil engineering knowledge, ideally gained through water, utilities, infrastructure or major project delivery.
• Experience across either the general civils element or specifically MEICA works. Water process and treatment experience is crucial.
• A strong understanding of construction methodologies, risk management and commercial principles.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary bids and tenders.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a passion for winning work.
• Estimating Software – some exposure to Candy would be ideal.
• Right to work in the UK.
