Job Description:

Senior Estimator - Earthworks
Day rate: Up to £550 D.O.E. (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote - 1 day per week site/office

Our client, an established earthworks contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity offering predominantly remote working, with typically just one visit per week to site or the office.

The Role:

• Preparing competitive tenders for earthworks and civil engineering projects.
• Producing first-principles estimates for labour, plant and materials.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identifying risk, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Supporting tender adjudications and project handovers.

About You:

• UK Civil engineering contracting experience is essential.
• Strong estimating / first-principles pricing experience.
• Earthworks experience would be highly beneficial.
• Experience with Causeway would be advantageous.
• Good commercial and technical understanding of civil engineering projects.
