Location of Works: Hampshire & West Sussex (Chichester), with occasional travel across Berkshire, East Sussex, Dorset & Surrey

Salary Bracket: £40,000 - £50,000 per year (DOE)

On-Target Earnings (OTE): Excellent Overtime & Call Out Available

ABOUT OUR CUSTOMER

Our client is an independently-owned Fire & Security company, trading for well over a decade and led by directors with decades of combined industry experience. They've built a strong reputation delivering fire and security installation, service and maintenance solutions across Hampshire, West Sussex and the wider South Coast. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Fire Commissioning Engineer to join their established engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Fire-biased engineer who has strong experience with addressable fire alarm systems and a good understanding of Cause & Effect. While the role is predominantly focused on fire, you will also be expected to work across security systems, making this an ideal position for an engineer with a strong Fire & Security background.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Fire Commissioning Engineer

• Commission and test addressable fire alarm systems
• Work with and understand Cause & Effect requirements
• Service and maintain Fire Alarm systems
• Service and maintain Security systems
• Carry out fault finding across both Fire & Security systems
• Complete small day works across Fire & Security
• Attend planned and reactive maintenance visits
• Participate in the company call out rota
• Provide technical advice and support to other engineers
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
• Produce accurate service and commissioning reports and documentation

Skills & Experience – Senior Fire Commissioning Engineer

• Previous experience as a Fire Commissioning Engineer
• Strong knowledge of addressable Fire Alarm systems
• Good understanding of Cause & Effects
• Fire-biased Fire & Security background
• Experience working on Security systems
• Strong fault-finding skills across both Fire & Security
• Experience carrying out maintenance and small works
• Able to provide technical advice and support to other engineers
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
