Senior Engineering Geologist
Hampshire (Remote)
£38,000-£40,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join a respected ground investigation contractor and consultancy based in London. This role offers the chance to take on a senior position within an established and growing ground engineering team, delivering a wide range of complex and high-profile projects across London and throughout the UK.
About the Role
As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you will lead and manage ground investigation projects from inception to completion, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. You will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the commercial growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing ground investigation projects from tender stage through to final delivery
- Designing and specifying site investigation works
- Supervising site operations and maintaining high-quality standards
- Logging and interpreting soil and rock data in accordance with BS5930
- Preparing and reviewing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
- Providing geotechnical assessments and design input
- Liaising with clients and attending project meetings
- Mentoring and supporting junior geologists and engineers
- Promoting compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related subject
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience
- Strong experience in ground investigation and technical reporting
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and maintain client relationships
- Excellent communication, technical, and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Chartered status, or actively working towards Chartership (e.g. CGeol, CSci, ICE)
- Experience working on major infrastructure or urban development schemes
- Good understanding of geotechnical design principles
- Commercial awareness and business development experience
