Job Description:

Liberty Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation in the search for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Our client operates within a professional and regulated environment and is seeking a confident and commercially minded HR professional to deliver a high-quality, proactive HR service across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative HR team where you'll play a key role in supporting managers, leading on employee relations matters, and driving continuous improvement.

Based in Southampton, this role offers a salary of £45,000 - £48,000, hybrid working with two days per week in the office, and occasional travel to London (approximately once every other month).

What you'll do:

• Act as the organisation's employment law expert, providing clear and pragmatic HR advice.
• Manage a wide range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice.
• Oversee onboarding, probation and offboarding processes, delivering a positive employee experience.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure timely, compliant case management.
• Provide guidance and support on employee wellbeing initiatives and HR best practice.
• Coordinate trainee programmes and act as the main point of contact for professional qualifications and external bodies.
• Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives, ensuring training is effective and cost-efficient.
• Champion Equality, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and support the Mental Health First Aider programme.
• Contribute to wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

• CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or Employee Relations-focused role.
• Previous experience working within a professional services, legal or other regulated environment.
• Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience drafting HR policies, procedures and employee communications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience designing and delivering training sessions.
