Senior IIoT and SCADA Engineer

Your role at a glance
The Senior IIoT & SCADA Engineer provides senior-level engineering expertise for the design, implementation, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise telemetry platforms and operational technology solutions. This role serves as the technical lead for complex telemetry initiatives, translating architectural direction into scalable, reliable, and maintainable implementations that enable the collection, monitoring, and delivery of operational data.
Working closely with Operational Technology Architecture, Telemetry Engineering, Operational Data Platforms, Data Center Operations, and IT Systems, Networks, and Platforms groups, the Senior IIoT & SCADA Engineer designs and implements telemetry solutions, integrates operational systems, and resolves complex technical challenges. The role provides technical mentorship to engineering staff, promotes engineering best practices, and contributes to the continuous evolution of the organization's telemetry capabilities.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline.
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Industry certifications related to operational technology, industrial automation, cloud platforms, systems engineering, or networking preferred.
Required Experience:
8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting operational technology, telemetry, industrial automation, or systems integration solutions.
Experience implementing enterprise telemetry platforms and integrating operational systems with enterprise applications and cloud services.
Experience designing and troubleshooting complex operational technology or telemetry solutions within highly available environments.
Experience developing technical documentation, implementation standards, and engineering diagrams.
Experience mentoring technical staff and providing engineering leadership on complex technical initiatives.
Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols, systems integration principles, networking concepts, and operational data collection technologies.
Work Conditions & Other Requirements:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as business needs require.
Participation in technical planning sessions, site visits, industry conferences, and vendor engagements.
Ability to support critical initiatives outside normal business hours when required.
Occasional visits to operational facilities and technical environments requiring adherence to applicable safety and security procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
