Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Fully remote

£50k-£55k plus benefits

An established specialist consultancy within the flood risk, water and environmental sector is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its growing remote team.

This opportunity offers involvement in a broad range of projects across residential development, infrastructure and public sector schemes, with a strong focus on flood risk and drainage strategy delivery.

The successful candidate will lead the preparation and review of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies, manage technical delivery across multiple projects, and provide guidance to junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and surface water drainage strategies
• Interpreting EA, LLFA and related datasets to support planning and development proposals
• Supporting feasibility studies and identifying practical development solutions
• Managing project programmes, budgets and client communication
• Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical outputs
• Assisting with fee proposals and wider business development activities

Applicants should demonstrate strong technical capability alongside commercial awareness and client-facing experience and have at least 6 years UK consultancy experience within flood risk/drainage and must have a strong understanding of NPPF and UK Planning guidance.

Desirable experience : InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage, SuDS and drainage strategy design, Hydraulic modelling software including TUFLOW, Flood Modeller or HEC-RAS with AutoCAD proficiency.

You will be Chartered or working toward chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent).
