Senior Management Accountant | Derby | Hybrid | £55-60k

Our client is a rapidly growing organisation, seeking a commercially minded finance professional to step into a key role supporting both leadership and operations. This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical expertise with team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of financial reporting for part of the business, ensuring accurate, insightful outputs while helping guide a small team. Alongside core reporting cycles, you’ll play a key role in planning, forecasting and improving finance processes, partnering closely with non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly reporting, delivering clear and meaningful performance analysis
• Review and elevate the work of junior team members, providing coaching and direction
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting with a focus on commercial insight
• Build strong relationships across the business to support decision-making
• Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within finance processes
• Support audits and ensure robust financial controls and documentation

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Strong grounding in management accounting
• Confident communicator, able to translate financial data into business insight
• Experience mentoring or supervising others
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to data tools or automation is advantageous
