Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed, multi-site business with ambitious acquisition plans and an exciting transformation agenda. As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a proactive Senior Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

Reporting to an ambitious and forward-thinking Head of Finance, you'll work alongside another Senior Management Accountant and become a key member of a collaborative team responsible for delivering insightful reporting, improving processes and driving automation across the finance function.

This is far more than a traditional management accounting role. It's an opportunity to combine strong technical accounting with advanced Excel, systems thinking and emerging AI technologies to help shape how finance supports a rapidly growing business.

What you'll be doing

• Taking ownership of a portfolio of management accounts, delivering accurate monthly reporting, P&L analysis and commercial commentary
• Reviewing forecasts, journals and reporting packs, ensuring consistency, quality and accuracy across the finance team
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes
• Partnering with operational leaders, providing meaningful financial insight to support decision making
• Coaching and supporting junior members of the finance team
• Driving finance transformation through process improvement, automation and smarter ways of working
• Developing Excel models, Power Query solutions and AI-enabled reporting to improve efficiency and insight
• Supporting acquisitions, finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintaining high-quality documentation and audit-ready working papers

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys improving processes as much as producing numbers.

You'll be:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• An experienced Management Accountant or Senior Management Accountant within a fast-paced commercial environment
• Highly proficient in Excel, with experience of Power Query and data manipulation
• Comfortable using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to automate tasks and improve reporting
• Naturally curious, analytical and solutions focused
• A confident communicator who enjoys working with both finance and operational stakeholders
• Someone who takes ownership, challenges the status quo and actively looks for opportunities to improve performance
