Job Description:

Our client, a distinguished leader in the rail industry, is seeking a dedicated Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join their permanent team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant building service projects and make a meaningful impact on the industry.

• Assist in amplifying client brief
• Undertake condition surveys and reports
• Prepare feasibility reports and cost plans
• Carry out detailed surveys for equipment replacement
• Prepare design calculations with Hevacomp/Bentley Energy Simulator
• Prepare detailed designs and coordinate with the CAD team
• Attend design team meetings
• Prepare NBS specifications, equipment schedules and tender documents
• Review and report on tender prices and quality returns
• Attend and chair pre-start and site progress meetings
• Undertake site quality and progress inspections
• Review contractor applications and certify payment
• Act as Contract Administrator
• Assist and mentor more junior staff
• Assist in maintaining project QMS records

• Degree qualification in an Engineering subject
• Experience in electrical engineering, particularly within the rail sector
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and experience undertaking safety-related risk assessments
• Ability to manage significant building service projects
• Strong project management and coordination skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Proficiency with engineering software such as Hevacomp/Bentley Energy Simulator
