Job Description:

Position: Senior Process Engineer

Location: Warrington or Abingdon (Hybrid)

Permanent

Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week

Two days in the office, 3 days working from home

Senior Process Engineer - Nuclear Projects
The Senior Process Engineer will provide specialist engineering support across a range of design activities within regulated environments, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
The role involves producing and reviewing engineering deliverables such as calculations, reports, and design documentation to meet required standards for safety, cost, quality, and schedule. You will contribute to the development of efficient process designs, provide technical guidance, and support continuous improvement of engineering systems and practices.
A key part of the role includes mentoring and supporting junior engineers, coordinating team activities, and ensuring work is delivered effectively. You will also identify technical risks and uncertainties and escalate where appropriate to support informed decision-making.

Requirements
Degree in Chemical Engineering (BEng or MEng)
5+ years' experience as a Process, Chemical, or Design Engineer
Experience working within nuclear or other highly regulated environments
Chartered status (IChemE) or equivalent experience
Experience producing and developing process engineering documentation
Strong team working and technical delivery experience
Experience on Sellafield, AWE, or similar regulated nuclear sites desirable
