We're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team, taking a leading role in supporting manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring products are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a highly visible position that sits at the heart of the business, acting as the key technical interface between Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams. You'll play a critical role in product lifecycle management, configuration control, engineering change management, and manufacturing process improvement, helping to shape the future of innovative technology products.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Production Engineer, you will:

• Act as the primary technical liaison between Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams
• Lead the creation, validation, and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures, and part numbering systems
• Own and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring effective implementation across the business
• Drive configuration management activities, ensuring full product traceability and compliance
• Take responsibility for manufacturing data packs and engineering documentation
• Coordinate and implement mechanical and electrical/electronic product updates
• Monitor component obsolescence and identify suitable replacement solutions to minimise supply chain risk
• Develop and continuously improve assembly instructions and manufacturing processes
• Lead investigations into production issues and implement corrective actions
• Support Sales and Commercial teams with product configurations and technical data
• Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and production personnel
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with professionals who have:

• Proven experience in a Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, NPI Engineering, or similar role
• Strong knowledge of BOM management, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and configuration control
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations within a complex engineering environment
• A track record of driving continuous improvement and solving production challenges
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management, change control, and obsolescence management
• Strong understanding of manufacturing documentation and engineering data systems
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• The ability to influence stakeholders and drive engineering best practice

Desirable Experience

• Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Manufacturing Engineering background
• Experience implementing product design updates into production environments
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies
• Experience mentoring engineers or technicians
• RF knowledge would be highly advantageous

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certifications are desirable
