Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Car/Allowance + Package
Location: Northampton

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a successful and expanding business operating within the residential groundworks sector.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple projects, overseeing financial performance, contractual matters, and project profitability from pre-construction through to final account.
This role is ideal for an experienced commercial professional looking to play a key role within a growing regional operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the commercial management of multiple residential groundworks projects
- Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and monthly cost reports
- Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and final accounts
- Producing accurate valuations and applications for payment
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Reviewing and negotiating contracts and variations
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance
- Building and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks
- Strong understanding of commercial and contractual processes
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent negotiation and cost management skills
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities
