Senior Quantity Surveyor
Hemel Hempstead, occasional site travel across the region
£70,000 - £75,000 + Performance Based Bonus + Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance +
Training + Progression to Commercial Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor, working on a variety of major projects with genuine career prospects long term.

Are you a Quantity Surveyor from a civils, infrastructure or groundworks background? Are you looking for greater responsibility, ownership of your own projects and long-term career progression?

This contractor has been operating successfully for over 45 years, delivering civils, highways and infrastructure projects for major clients. Their projects range from highways and logistics centres to warehouse developments and large-scale infrastructure schemes. With a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to expand their commercial team.

In this role, you will oversee the commercial management of multiple projects from tender through to final account. You'll manage CVRs, applications, subcontractor packages, procurement and monthly reporting, while supporting and mentoring an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

The ideal candidate will be a Quantity Surveyor with experience across civils, infrastructure or groundworks projects, confident using measuring software and looking for genuine long-term progression.

The Role:

• Managing the commercial aspects of multiple civils and groundworks projects
• Producing CVRs, applications and monthly commercial reports
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor management
• Supporting and mentoring Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• Based in Hemel Hempstead

The Person:

• Quantity Surveyor
• Civils, infrastructure or groundworks experience
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and site teams
• Commutable to Hemel Hempstead and happy to travel to sites when required
