Senior Recruitment Consultant – Temporary Staffing

Totton, Southampton | c£34,000–£38,000 DOE + monthly commission + quarterly bonus

Are you an experienced recruiter or commercially driven sales or account management professional from logistics or a related fast-paced sector who enjoys owning client relationships, delivering a great service and creating opportunities to grow accounts and develop new business?

We’re looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our Southampton operation and take a key role in its continued growth.

Our Southampton operation is busy and thriving, with strong relationships across the local logistics market and plenty of opportunity to build on that further. Reporting directly to the Regional Business Manager, you’ll be a senior presence within the team, taking ownership of key client relationships, helping to onboard new accounts and making sure we deliver a strong service from day one.

A key part of the role will be getting out to see local clients regularly – understanding their operations, reviewing service levels, staying ahead of future staffing requirements and taking a consultative approach to how we can support them further.

Alongside this, we’re looking for someone commercially minded who is motivated to create and develop new business opportunities, helping us expand our presence across the local market.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing key client relationships, understanding workforce plans and responding quickly to changing requirements.
• Taking ownership of temporary bookings and working closely with our resourcing team to ensure successful fulfilment.
• Keeping close to candidate availability, pay rates and market conditions while contributing knowledge and insight to the wider Southampton operation.

About You

We’re primarily looking for someone with previous recruitment experience, ideally within temporary, contract or another fast-paced staffing environment.

We would also consider someone from a strong commercial sales, account management or business development background within logistics, transport, warehousing or another fast-paced commercial sector. You’ll need to demonstrate a proven ability to manage client relationships, develop accounts and generate new business, along with the pace and ownership needed to move successfully into recruitment.

You’ll be someone who:

• Takes ownership of client relationships and delivery and sees things through.
• Is confident taking ownership of new account onboarding and developing those relationships over time.
• Is commercially driven and motivated to develop new business, proactively identifying, pursuing and following up opportunities within the local market.

A full UK driving licence is required, as the role includes regular client meetings and site visits.

Working hours

Our standard full-time hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.

This is an office-based role in Totton, Southampton.

Out-of-Hours & Flexibility

We have a dedicated out-of-hours team handling our standard evening and weekend cover. Very occasionally, some light ad-hoc support on a weekday evening may be required, but your primary focus will remain on standard branch hours.
