Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior AV Engineer to join a leading audio visual and custom installation business, working across high-end residential, hospitality and luxury commercial environments in Greater London. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior AV Engineer with strong experience in AV installation, home automation, home cinema, multi-room AV, control systems and networked AV environments. The successful Senior AV Engineer will take responsibility for installing, configuring, commissioning and supporting high-end AV and integrated control systems.  The role could potentially appeal to candidates searching for positions such as Senior AV Engineer, AV Engineer, Audio Visual Engineer, AV Installation Engineer or AV Field Service Engineer.

As a Senior AV Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out AV installation, configuration, testing and commissioning across high-end residential, hospitality and commercial projects.
• Conducting site surveys and supporting project delivery from installation through to final system sign-off.
• Installing and configuring home cinema, multi-room AV, home automation and integrated control systems.
• Working with platforms including Crestron, Control4 and Lutron.
• Installing, terminating and testing copper and fibre optic cabling and supporting IP networking requirements.
• Installing projectors, televisions, AV racks, interactive displays and associated audiovisual equipment.
• Carrying out fault finding, diagnostics and technical support across AV, control, networking and automation systems.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and site documentation.
• Working closely with project managers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior AV engineers where required.
• Representing the business professionally when working directly with clients.

The successful Senior AV Engineer will have:

• Previous experience as a Senior AV Engineer, AV Engineer, Audio Visual Engineer or AV Installation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience delivering AV installation, configuration and commissioning projects.
• Experience with residential AV, home cinema, home automation and multi-room AV.
• Practical knowledge of Crestron, Control4, Lutron or similar control and automation systems.
• Experience with copper and fibre optic cabling and a good understanding of IP networking fundamentals.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across AV, control, networking and automation systems.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and site documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, contractors and project teams.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• A full, valid driving licence.
• Relevant technical certifications from Control4, Crestron, or Lutron would be desirable.
