Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum ( completely dependant on experience)

Job Description

The Senior Residential Conveyancer undertakes and manages the full conveyancing process for residential property transactions. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures to ensure efficient and compliant delivery of services to clients. The post holder is responsible for advising clients on legal aspects of buying and selling residential properties, managing case files from inception to completion, and maintaining strong communication with all parties involved in the transaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and progress a high volume of residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
• Conduct detailed title investigations, review contracts and ensure all legal documentation complies with current legislation and client requirements.
• Provide clear and accurate legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process, ensuring they understand their rights and obligations.
• Liaise effectively with estate agents, mortgage lenders, local authorities and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth transaction progression.
• Identify and resolve any issues or complications that arise during the conveyancing process, escalating matters when necessary.
• Ensure all deadlines and statutory timeframes are met, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on case management systems.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering procedures and professional conduct standards.
• Support and mentor junior conveyancers and paralegals, sharing knowledge and best practise to enhance team performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the conveyancing team and support business development activities as required.

 

Ideally a minimum of three to five years experience managing residential conveyancing transactions within a legal firm or conveyancing practise.

• Proven track record of successful case management from instruction to completion.
• Experience handling complex cases and resolving issues such as title defects, boundary disputes or planning restrictions.

The firms prefer office working however hybrid arrangements can be discussed however office working is preferred by the firms.
