Hours of work: 48 hours per week - 4 on / 4 off, days only, 06:00-18:00 (flexibility required to meet business needs)

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Senior Security Supervisor to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class Guarding Services and supporting the operational effectiveness of the Security and Resilience Control Centre (SaRCC).
Job Overview
This role is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the Guarding Team while ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and service delivery across the estate. The Senior Security Supervisor will act as a confident operational leader, ensuring guarding operations are effective, resilient, and aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements.
The position contributes directly to the safety, resilience, and reputation of the organisation through effective incident response, technical security oversight, and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to maintain operational excellence in a demanding environment are central to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop Security Supervisors and Guarding staff, promoting professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure Guarding operations are staffed by appropriately trained and accredited personnel in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate incident response, providing effective command and control, prioritisation, and clear communication during incidents.
- Maintain oversight of integrated technical security and building management systems, ensuring effective operation and timely issue resolution.
- Provide operational support to the Security and Resilience Control Centre (SaRCC) as required, ensuring continuity and resilience of service.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, assignment instructions, risk assessments, and organisational policies, including Diversity and Equal Opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, local police, and external security providers to support intelligence-led operations.
- Oversee accurate financial records, recruitment activity, and Guarding Services documentation.
Person Specification
- Proven leadership and resource management experience within a security or related operational environment.
- Experience working in operational or security control room settings.
- Strong background in incident management, including command and control responsibilities.
- Technical understanding of integrated security and building management systems.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, intranet systems, and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and confident approach.
- Valid SIA Guarding licence and a full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel to another site in Edinburgh.
