Senior Security Systems Engineer Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide reactive service, advanced fault-finding, and technical support across enterprise Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Alarm systems.
- Undertake server/client setup, software configurations, network troubleshooting, system upgrades, and migrations.
- Carry out commissioning, system handovers, and installation works as required across multiple regional sites.
- Configure and support IP-based security infrastructure, including TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and managed switch environments.
- Take absolute technical ownership of complex integration faults, software anomalies, and root-cause analysis.
- Liaise directly with client IT departments, consultants, and third-party stakeholders.
- Assist project managers and installation teams during major project delivery phases.
- Manage, mentor, and provide essential on-site technical support to junior engineers.
- Prepare accurate quotations for corrective works, small works, and preventative maintenance visits.
- Produce precise service reports, commissioning records, and digital technical documentation.
Senior Security Systems Engineer Skills & Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 to 7+ years of dedicated experience within the electronic security industry.
- Strictly no fire alarm experience required—the candidate must be 100% focused on security disciplines.

- Strong communication skills with a polished, client-facing approach suited for corporate and public sector environments.
- Must reside within a 1-hour travel radius of Guildford (ideally based in Surrey or East Berkshire) to service regional accounts effectively.
- A valid ECS Card is essential.
