Job Description:
We are looking to recruit a Senior Service Engineer to join an expanding business in Bradford.
The role will require the successful candidate to carry out high quality electrical installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and fault finding works on commercial and industrial fuel systems.
The Service Engineer will support service and project installations nationwide, maintaining strong customer relationships through professional workmanship and excellent service delivery.
Candidates will ideally be mechanically or electrically trained with experience working with pipework installations and repair.
Experience with Fuel storage or dispensing equipment is highly advantageous
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installing, commissioning, servicing and repairing fuel storage tanks, pipework, pumps, dispensers and gauging systems
- Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive call-outs to customer sites
- Carry out mechanical/electrical maintenance.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to a high standard, first time wherever possible
- Full compliance with RAMS.
- Create and submit accurate job reporting in a timely manner.
- Report issues on site to the relevant parties immediately.
- Record worked site hours accurately upon arrival and departure of site premises.
- Keep all company equipment and tools in good condition and working order, including vehicles.
- Report any equipment faults in a timely manner and adhere to regular vehicle tooling audits and vehicle maintenance checks.
- Adhere to the safe disposal of hazardous waste in assigned areas, ensuring all legislative paperwork is completed.
- Be accountable for engineering expenditure by following company guidelines for driving fines, accommodation, and expenses, taking a cost-effective and reasonable approach
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Full clean driving license.
- Recognized mechanical or electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. ·
- Experience working within fuel storage or hazardous environments. - advantageous
- Experience with fuel dispensing pumps or control systems - advantageous
- Strong experience in installation and maintenance within industrial environments.
- Proven mechanical / electrical fault finding and diagnostic ability.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Competent working to RAMS and safe systems of work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- Willingness to work away from home during the week.
- Capability of obtaining high level security clearance where required.
Desirable:
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
· Knowledge of panel wiring and commissioning activities.
· SSSTS or SMSTS. / CSCS.
· Confined Space training.
· IOSH or NEBOSH certification
