Senior Software Developer
Newcastle upon Tyne | Hybrid Working  Full Time | Permanent

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Head of Development and wider engineering teams, you will play a key role in the design, development and enhancement of large-scale internal and customer-facing applications.

This role would suit a strong Senior Developer who enjoys solving technical problems, contributing ideas and working across modern development practices within a fast-moving environment.

You will be involved in:
• Designing and developing scalable web applications using C# and .NET technologies  
• Building and maintaining APIs and backend services  
• Contributing towards software architecture and technical design decisions  
• Working across both new feature development and enhancement of existing systems  
• Collaborating with developers, stakeholders and business users  
• Supporting best practice development standards, testing and code quality  
• Contributing ideas around automation, performance and system improvements  

Required Experience

We are looking for developers with strong commercial experience across:
• C# / .NET  
• .NET Core  
• ASP.NET  
• SQL Server  
• JavaScript / HTML / CSS  
• API development  
• Git / source control  
• Agile development environments  

Desirable Experience

Any experience within the below would be highly advantageous:
• Microsoft Azure  
• Microservices architecture  
• Angular or modern frontend frameworks  
• CI/CD pipelines  
• Kubernetes or containerisation  
• Financial services environments  
• Telerik / Kendo UI
