Service Controller - Hull | £26,000-£29,000 DOE + Monday-Friday hours & genuine career progression

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Controller who has already worked within a forklift hire, plant hire, or equipment hire environment and understands the day-to-day demands of coordinating engineers, equipment, and service schedules.

This role based in Hull is ideal for candidates coming from forklift hire, plant hire, vehicle, powered access, material handling, agriculture, HGV, bus & coach, or similar sectors, where you've worked as a Service Controller, Service Administrator, Hire Controller, or similar role and are looking to develop your career within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Service Controller, you'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly:

• Schedule and allocate work for field service engineers and workshop technicians
• Coordinate planned maintenance, servicing, LOLER inspections, and repairs
• Manage breakdowns, prioritising urgent customer requirements efficiently
• Liaise with suppliers to order and track parts
• Keep customers and internal teams updated on service progress
• Maintain accurate service, compliance, and maintenance records
• Process job sheets, check labour hours, and support administration where required
• Work closely with the hire, workshop, and sales teams to ensure excellent customer service
