Job Description:

Mechanical Bias Shift Engineer – Manufacturing

Salary: £60,000 + benefits
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Bias Shift Engineer to join a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing business following significant investment in its production facilities. This is a hands-on role, focused on reactive maintenance, fault-finding and improving the reliability of automated production and packaging equipment.

The Role:

• Carry out reactive maintenance across automated production lines. 

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

• Support ongoing improvements in equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Work with a variety of machinery, including conveyors, packaging equipment, cutters, slicers and automated systems.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Strong mechanical engineering background within manufacturing or production.

• Experienced in reactive maintenance and fault-finding.

• Comfortable working with automated machinery and production equipment.

• A proactive engineer with a continuous improvement mindset.
