Job Description:

Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit a Shift Supervisor for its Lower-Tier COMAH site in Northampton.

Responsibilities and duties of the Shift Supervisor role

Reporting to the Terminal Manager you will:

• Supervise safe handling of all fuels and additives received, stored and distributed on site, in line with safety standards and legislation.
• Act as the competent person on site in absence of the Operations Supervisor.
• Oversee the maintenance and integrity of terminal plant and equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
• Manage day-to-day terminal operations, coordinating drivers and contractors to maintain efficient logistics and high customer service standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring operational performance, and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• NVQ Level 3 in a process or engineering discipline
• IOSH or equivalent safety qualification
• Experience supervising operations within a high-hazard, continuous process environment (e.g. fuel terminal, refinery, chemical process plant).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel.
• A strong awareness of health & safety practices is essential.
• Full UK Driving License

• Experienced in maintaining and driving a strong safety culture on site by ensuring compliance of all safety rules and procedures.
• Happy to work a shift pattern including days, nights and weekends.
