Site Engineer

Gatwick Airport

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of airside infrastructure works at Gatwick Airport.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major aviation project, working on live airside infrastructure schemes. We are particularly keen to speak with engineers who have previous airside experience and, ideally, experience working with PQ Concrete.

Both permanent and contract candidates will be considered, depending on experience.

The Role

As Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting out and surveying for airside civil engineering works.
• Supporting the safe and successful delivery of works to programme and quality standards.
• Managing quality assurance documentation and engineering records.
• Carrying out site inspections and ensuring works comply with project specifications.
• Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors and the client.
• Monitoring progress and reporting on site activities.
• Supporting the wider project team with engineering and technical information.
• Promoting a strong health, safety and quality culture on site.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience working in a live airside environment.
• Experience working with PQ Concrete is highly desirable.
• Strong setting out and surveying experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant engineering qualifications.
• A full UK driving licence.

Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants must also be able to:

• Provide a continuous 5-year employment, education and address history.
• Successfully pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC).
• Satisfy all airport airside security clearance requirements.
• Provide satisfactory references covering the required screening period.
