Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a short-term earthworks package based in Skipton. This is a 4-week contract opportunity with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for setting out and overseeing day-to-day engineering duties on a live earthworks project, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for earthworks operations
• QA and as-built records
• Volume calculations and surveying
• Liaising with site management and subcontractors
• Ensuring works comply with drawings and specifications
• Maintaining health & safety standards on site

Requirements

• Previous experience on earthworks or heavy civils projects
• Proficient with GPS and robotic total station equipment
• Strong understanding of cut/fill operations
• CSCS card essential
• SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
• Ability to work independently and manage site engineering duties

• Duration: 4 Weeks
• Start: Immediate / ASAP
• Rate: £300 – £350 per day DOE
