SITE MANAGER – ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE ESSENTIAL

Location: Biggleswade
Contract: 4 weeks
Rate: £300–£325 per day
Sector: Commercial Office Fit-Out
Start: Mid September

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager with active SC Clearance to join a commercial office fit-out project in Biggleswade on a 4-week contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can take control of site operations and work effectively with subcontractors, trades and the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the site and coordinate all site activities.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site labour.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with the programme and project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship, quality and progress across the project.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and ensure site rules and RAMS are followed.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular updates on progress, issues and requirements.
• Liaise with the Project Manager and wider delivery team to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively.
• Maintain site records, inspections and relevant documentation.

Key Requirements

• ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE – ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience working as a Site Manager.
• Strong background in commercial office fit-out / refurbishment.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Good understanding of construction health & safety and site compliance.
• SMSTS and First Aid.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Able to commit to the full 4-week contract.
