Special Projects Fire Safety Advisor

💷 £500.00 per day Umbrella

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Special Projects Fire Safety Advisor to join a major London-based housing organisation and play a key role in delivering a high-profile building safety programme.
This position will provide expert technical leadership on fire safety matters relating to External Wall Systems (EWS), supporting investigative works, remediation strategies, compliance activities, funding applications, and legal matters across a large residential property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist fire safety advice on high-risk residential buildings and external wall systems.
- Review and assess FRAEWs, Fire Risk Assessments, cladding investigations, spandrel panel assessments, and other technical reports.
- Support the delivery of investigative and remediation programmes across multiple buildings.
- Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Order, PAS 9980, and other relevant legislation and guidance.
- Provide technical input into Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS) and other remediation funding applications.
- Support legal teams by reviewing technical evidence relating to defective external wall systems.
- Advise senior stakeholders, project teams, consultants, and contractors on fire safety risks and mitigation measures.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in fire safety, building safety, housing, construction, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of external wall systems, fire risk assessment methodologies, and current fire safety legislation.
- Experience reviewing FRAEWs and complex fire safety reports.
- Understanding of remediation programmes and building safety funding schemes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Rate: £500.00 per day Umbrella
Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 12 Months
