A day in the life of a Murphy Stakeholder & Governance Manager:
- Accountable for the successful delivery of the Stakeholder & Governance function, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, programme objectives, budgetary controls, and Murphy standards.
- Set the standard for stakeholder engagement, governance, and communication across the framework.
- Develop and implement stakeholder, social value, communications, and sustainability strategies that support project and business objectives.
- Identify risks, issues, and opportunities, ensuring they are managed proactively and resolved in a controlled and timely manner.
- Ensure stakeholder and governance activities are aligned with project programmes, key milestones, and delivery objectives.
- Provide leadership and line management to the Social Value, Stakeholder Engagement, Communications, and Sustainability teams.
- Build and maintain effective client, community, and stakeholder relationships, fostering collaboration and trust throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure appropriate governance arrangements, engagement plans, and reporting structures are in place to support successful framework delivery.
- Drive alignment between project teams, clients, regulators, and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient decision-making and project progression.
- Resolve day-to-day operational challenges, escalating business-critical issues to the Operations Manager where required.

- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering internal and external stakeholder strategies, aligning decision-makers, managing expectations, and fostering collaborative engagement to support successful project mobilisation and delivery.
- Proven experience in a stakeholder, communications, governance, or project management leadership role.
- HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5, Degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects within a matrix environment, successfully delivering against programme, cost, and quality objectives.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
- Experience managing stakeholder engagement within regulated infrastructure, utilities, energy, construction, or major-project environments.
