Job Description:

We’re hiring for a Supply Chain Manager to join a specialist engineering business based in Salford, Greater Manchester, supporting a growing operation that delivers bespoke technical solutions.

This is a key leadership role suited to someone who can manage a supply chain team while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations. You’ll be focused on improving systems, strengthening team structure, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and building close working relationships across the business, particularly with Finance.

• £50,000 – £60,000 per annum

What will you be doing as a Supply Chain Manager?

• Managing and supporting the supply chain team and overseeing day-to-day supply chain operations
• Improving systems and increasing automation across the department
• Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support planning, reporting, and process improvements
• Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities
• Working closely with the Finance team to improve visibility, accuracy, and collaboration
• Maintaining operational effectiveness while driving continuous improvement
• Supporting purchasing, stock control, supplier management, and wider operational activity where required

What will you need?

• Previous experience managing a supply chain team
• Strong experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• A hands-on approach and willingness to support daily operational activities
• Experience working closely with Finance or commercial teams
• The ability to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A proactive approach to systems, process improvement, and automation
