The Opportunity
We're partnering with a highly respected organisation looking to strengthen its internal Microsoft capability with the appointment of an experienced Microsoft 365 & Azure Subject Matter Expert.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who lives and breathes the Microsoft stack. You'll take ownership of core Microsoft services, security policies, governance controls and modern workplace technologies whilst acting as a trusted adviser to both technical and business stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for driving best practice across Microsoft 365, Azure and associated security technologies, ensuring the environment remains secure, compliant and optimised for end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical SME for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure.
- Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 services and associated platforms.
- Administer and support SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID and Microsoft Defender.
- Design, implement and maintain Microsoft security policies and governance controls.
- Configure and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions using Microsoft Purview.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Online and email security policies.
- Support and enhance Microsoft Copilot Chat and Copilot Premium capabilities.
- Conduct reviews of Microsoft security configurations and recommend improvements.
- Implement and support BYOD and secure remote access solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to improve user experience, security posture and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership on Microsoft roadmap initiatives and new technology adoption.
Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Strong Azure administration and management expertise.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID and Microsoft Defender.
- Experience implementing and managing Microsoft Purview and DLP controls.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft email security, compliance and policy management.
- Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Copilot solutions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft security standards, governance frameworks and best practice.
- Experience supporting hybrid working, BYOD and remote access environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to operate as the recognised technical authority within a Microsoft environment.

- Microsoft Fabric.
- Power BI.
- Power Automate.
- Power Apps.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications across Azure, Security or Modern Workplace technologies.
