Corporate Tax Manager – Tax Advisory

Are you a Corporate Tax professional who wants to move beyond pure compliance and get involved in genuinely interesting advisory work?

I’m working exclusively with a specialist, growing tax advisory team in Altrincham who are looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves tax, enjoys solving complex problems and wants to work closely with experienced Tax Partners on a varied portfolio of larger and more complex owner-managed businesses.

The opportunity

This isn't a role where you'll simply be managing a compliance portfolio.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Work directly with experienced Tax Partners on complex client matters

• Deliver corporate tax advisory and planning for business owners

• Advise on business and property acquisitions and disposals

• Undertake technical research, financial analysis and report writing

• Manage and support HMRC enquiries

• Act as a technical point of contact for accountants across the wider business

• Support, develop and mentor junior members of the tax team

• Build strong relationships with business owners and become a trusted adviser

There will still be an element of complex corporate tax compliance, but the role offers plenty of scope to develop your advisory and technical experience.

Who would suit this role?

I'm keen to speak with experienced Tax professionals who are:

• ATT and/or CTA qualified

• Ideally operating at Manager level or ready to make that next step

• Experienced in advising OMBs, particularly around Corporation Tax

• Comfortable understanding the wider Income Tax and CGT implications affecting business owners

• Technically strong but equally confident communicating with clients

• Looking for a role where they can continue developing their advisory experience

• Ambitious, proactive and genuinely interested in tax!

VAT exposure would be useful, but isn't essential.
