SEN Teacher – ASC & PMLD Provision

About the Role
We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in the BS13 area. This role involves working with pupils across Key Stages 1 to 4 with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet a wide range of complex needs
Teach and support pupils with ASC and PMLD using appropriate strategies and interventions
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupil development
Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress
Support communication, sensory needs, and physical development where required
Foster independence, social skills, and emotional well-being
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly ASC and/or PMLD (preferred)
Demonstrates strong knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and inclusive practice
Is patient, adaptable, and resilient, with a positive and nurturing approach
Is confident working across KS1–KS4
Has excellent communication skills and works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Is committed to improving outcomes for pupils with complex needs

Essential Criteria:
- Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30
- Right to work in the UK - we CANNOT accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
- Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
- Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one*
*Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.
