Team Leader - Children's Residential Home

Hinckley, Leicestershire
Basic Salary: £35,400 - £42,664
OTE: £39,680 - £46,944 (including good attendance and up to 3 sleep-ins per month)

Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker or Senior Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step into leadership?

We're recruiting for a Team Leader to join a specialist Children's Residential Home supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting the Registered and Deputy Managers to deliver high-quality care and outstanding outcomes for young people. You'll lead shifts, mentor colleagues and help create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Residential Support Workers on shift
• Build positive relationships with children and young people
• Promote safeguarding and child-centred practice
• Support care planning, risk assessments and daily records
• Encourage education, independence and positive outcomes
• Deputise for management when required
• Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
• Work closely with families, social workers and external professionals

Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
• Experience working within a Children's Residential Care setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Safeguarding and child protection knowledge
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH or complex needs
• Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 12 months)
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
