Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our growing team. You will play a key role in supporting both our young people and the staff team, helping to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the care team on shift
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment within the home
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people to enhance self-esteem and emotional well-being
• Ensure the home operates in line with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards
• Support young people with daily routines, including personal care where required
• Prepare meals and contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming home environment
• Administer medication in accordance with relevant procedures and training
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional records and documentation
• Act as a role model, demonstrating resilience, empathy, and consistency in challenging situations

Qualifications and Skills

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working in a children’s residential setting – Essential
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm, therapeutic, and consistent manner
