About the Role

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working hours: Flexible between 9:00am and 6:30pm
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Contract: Permanent
Disclosure: Enhanced DBS required

Ashberry recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to join a Supported Tenancies service in Bradford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker, Senior Housing Support Worker, Lead Support Worker, Assistant Team Leader or similar professional who is ready to take the next step into a team leadership role.

You will support the day-to-day running of the Supported Tenancies service, working with vulnerable adults to develop their independence, maintain their accommodation and ultimately move on to independent living.

You will also provide support and guidance to the Supported Tenancies team and take on line-management responsibilities in the absence of the Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience within supported housing, homelessness, housing-related support, floating support or a similar environment.

You do not need to have previously held a formal Team Leader title. We would consider candidates who are currently working as a Senior Support Worker, Senior Housing Support Worker, Lead Support Worker, Assistant Team Leader or similar, and who have demonstrated experience supervising or managing colleagues.

Essential Experience

Experience supporting vulnerable adults within supported housing, homelessness, housing support or a similar setting.

Full UK Driving license and car

Enhanced Child & Adult DBS that is registered on the update service

Previous experience of supervising, leading or managing staff.

Experience completing risk assessments and support plans.

Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety.

Ability to manage challenging situations professionally.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Willingness to work flexibly and provide cover when required.

Desirable Experience

Experience of intensive housing management.

Experience with tenancy sustainment.

Knowledge of housing benefit, rent accounts or arrears.

Experience working with Housing Options, landlords or other external agencies.

Experience supporting people towards independent accommodation.

Experience within homelessness or rough sleeping services.
