Technical Manager

South Wimbledon | £70,000 - £85,000 + Package

Are you a Technical Manager looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a major residential development.

We are working with a well-established residential developer seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join the business and lead the technical delivery of a flagship reinforced concrete frame development. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong residential experience and a solid understanding of High-Risk Buildings (HRBs), Building Safety legislation, and multi-disciplinary design management.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Technical, you will take responsibility for managing the design and technical process from design to completion, ensuring all technical, regulatory, and safety requirements are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the technical design process across a large residential scheme.
• Coordinating architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and local authorities.
• Leading the discharge of planning conditions and statutory approvals.
• Ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act and Gateway process requirements.
• Managing information flow and technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing consultant and contractor drawings for buildability and compliance.
• Supporting site teams with technical queries during construction.
• Driving programme, quality, and commercial objectives through efficient technical management.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Experience working as a Technical Manager, Senior Technical Coordinator within residential development.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete frame construction.
• Experience delivering medium to high-rise residential developments.
• Good understanding of High-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and Building Safety requirements.
• Experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and statutory approvals.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
