• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Role
You'll be joining an established sales team, working with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide commercially competitive engineering solutions.
Specialising in acoustics and noise control, the business delivers technical solutions across a range of applications.
However, you don't need to come from an acoustic background.
We're equally interested in experienced technical sales professionals from engineering, manufacturing, construction or building products who have the commercial ability and technical understanding to succeed in a specialist environment.
You'll be involved in the complete sales process, from initial customer enquiry and technical discussions through to quotations, negotiations and securing orders.
What You'll Be Doing

• Managing incoming enquiries from new and existing customers.
• Understanding technical specifications, drawings and project requirements.
• Recommending suitable engineering products and solutions.
• Preparing accurate quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
• Negotiating with suppliers and customers to achieve competitive pricing and profitable outcomes.
• Developing strong customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
• Following up quotations and converting enquiries into orders.
• Working closely with internal technical teams to develop appropriate solutions.
• Attending occasional customer site visits and technical surveys.
• Managing your sales pipeline and maintaining accurate records.
• Contributing towards sales targets and the overall profitability of the business.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a technically capable individual who understands the commercial side of engineering and enjoys working directly with customers.
You'll ideally have:

• Experience in technical sales, sales engineering, applications engineering, estimating or a similar technical-commercial position.
• A background within engineering, manufacturing, construction, building products or a related industry.
• Experience preparing technical quotations, tenders or commercial proposals.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness, including costing, pricing, margins and negotiation.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• A proactive approach to developing sales opportunities and securing orders.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM or quotation systems.
• A full UK driving licence.

Desirable, but not essential:

• Experience within acoustics, sound insulation, noise control or vibration isolation.
• A relevant engineering or technical qualification.
• Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).
