Technical Sales Manager

Technical Sales / Business Development / Account Manager
Are you driven by technically complex sales that go beyond standard off-the-shelf components?
We are partnering with a leading "Product Enablement" company specializing in embedded systems, display technologies, and custom sub-system design and development. They help businesses bring concepts to life, guiding clients through every step of hardware and firmware product creation.
We are seeking a commercially minded, technically fluent Sales / Business Development / Account Manager to join their UK team. Whether your background is in technical sales, account management, business development, or product management, what matters most is your ability to understand a client's core objectives and architect a workable technical and commercial solution.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Drive New Business: Identify and qualify new leads across target accounts, converting them into standard component sales or high-value, custom design and development programs.
Manage & Grow Accounts: Build lasting, trust-based relationships with existing clients. Increase account value through cross-selling and up-selling while keeping client churn near zero.
Consultative Technical Scoping: Partner with clients and internal engineering teams to shape system architectures, translate discussions into RFQs, and champion full-lifecycle product enablement.
Market Intelligence: Feed competitor activity, emerging technology trends, and client insights back to the business to sharpen product roadmaps and commercial strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
Technical Background: Proven success in technical sales, business development, or account management within embedded systems, electronics, or technical distribution.
Product Understanding: Solid grasp of embedded technologies, hardware/firmware development lifecycles, and ideally display technologies.
Consultative & Commercial Agility: Comfortable handling both transactional off-the-shelf component sales and complex, consultative design-and-development deals.
Education / Experience: A STEM/STEAM background/qualification is a plus, but a strong, proven track record and fast learning agility carry equal weight.
Self-Motivated & Mobile: Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setup. Must hold a valid UK driving licence, full UK right to work, and the flexibility to travel across the UK/EU as needed.
