Our client, ISS, seeking a Technical Services Manager to oversee all engineering and technical services activities across the Yeovil site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and high levels of customer satisfaction across technical service delivery.
Job Description
We are looking for a proven technical leader with experience in building services, hard services contract delivery, and facilities management.
This role requires strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management capability, and the ability to lead high-performing engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Technical Services across the site, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the main escalation point for technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and consistent service delivery.
- Manage engineering budgets, forecasts, financial performance, and cost-saving initiatives while protecting contract margins.
- Drive operational efficiency through best practice, standardised processes, and innovative technical solutions.
- Work closely with the Asset Manager to maintain accurate asset data and support the achievement of ISO 55001 standards.
- Ensure contractual KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, aligning service delivery with business needs and objectives.
- Lead, develop, and mentor technical teams through training, succession planning, and performance management.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Technical Services within a building services environment.
- Strong background in Hard Services contract delivery and facilities management.
- Experience managing high-performing technical and engineering teams.
- Demonstrable success in delivering complex technical solutions.
- Experience managing engineering budgets, commercial contracts, and project delivery.
- Strong understanding of engineering best practice, tools, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify improvement and growth opportunities.
- Proven capability in developing and mentoring technical professionals.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and change management skills.
