TECHNICAL WAREHOUSE MANAGER

PERMANENT, FULL-TIME  ·  MILTON KEYNES  ·  £40,000 TO £44,000 + BENEFITS

A leading live-events and AV rental business needs a hands-on leader to run the hub that keeps millions of pounds of kit moving.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A well-established live-events and AV rental business is creating a brand new Technical Warehouse Manager role as part of an operational restructure. This is not a traditional warehouse job. You will run the technical hub that prepares and returns professional rental equipment for live events, leading a team of around 20 to 25 people and protecting a high-value inventory.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will own the day-to-day operation, performance and standards of the technical warehouse hub, leading the hub team, coordinating prep and de-prep, safeguarding the equipment and making sure operational deadlines are consistently met.

The operational challenge is real: high-value kit on fast turnaround cycles, with the full prep, dispatch, return, de-prep and restock loop sometimes inside 24 to 48 hours. Confident people leadership and calm decisions under pressure matter as much as technical knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the technical warehouse hub.

• Lead, motivate and develop the hub team, setting clear standards for performance and equipment care.

• Plan and coordinate prep and de-prep so operational deadlines are consistently met.

• Ensure kit is accurately picked, checked, presented and recorded to client requirements.

ABOUT YOU

• You have built your career in live events, production, AV or technical equipment rental. Your job title matters less than your experience.

• Strong practical knowledge of at least one major discipline (lighting, audio, AV or video, power or rigging), with a feel for the wider kit.

• A background in busy, high-volume warehouse operations (ideally rental or events), covering equipment prep, de-prep, checking, storage and stock control.

• A people-centric but firm leader who leads from the front and holds a team to high standards.
